SE Series · Hydraulic excavators

Excavators that hold their cycle

Bucket fill, swing speed and hydraulic recovery decide whether an excavator makes money. The SE range uses flow-sharing hydraulics and heavy-duty structures to hold cycle times deep into a 12-hour shift, from a 6-tonne compact in a township trench to a 50-tonne mass excavator on a pit face.

What you actually feel

Power where the operator puts it

A flow-sharing main valve means a simultaneous boom-up and swing does not starve either function. Operators notice it in the first hour; accountants notice it in the monthly production report.

  • Three working modes. Power, Standard and Economy, switchable on the fly to match the material.
  • Auto idle and auto shutdown. Cuts idle burn, which on most SA sites is 25-35% of engine hours.
  • Reinforced structures. Thicker boom and arm plate, cast pivot points and HD track frames as standard.
  • Serviceable filtration. Ground-level access, dual-stage air cleaning and 500-hour hydraulic return filters.
  • Cooled for Africa. High-ambient radiator package rated for sustained 50 °C operation.
