Graders that hold a line

Haul road condition is the cheapest productivity lever on any mine, and layer tolerance is the difference between a road that lasts fifteen years and one that fails in five. The SG range is built around blade stability: a rigid main frame, tight circle control and hydraulics that do not drift.

What separates a good grader

Precision is a structural problem

Blade accuracy is decided long before the operator touches a lever. Frame stiffness, circle wear and hydraulic drift are what make a machine hold a grade at speed.

  • Box-section main frame. Heavy plate through the goose-neck where twisting loads concentrate.
  • Replaceable circle wear inserts. Restore blade accuracy in a service, not a rebuild.
  • Load-sensing hydraulics. No drift under load, so a set grade stays set.
  • All-wheel drive option. Traction for wet layer works, steep gradients and slippery material.
  • Machine-control ready. Mast mounts, hydraulic taps and cab harness pre-installed for 3D systems.

The haul road maths

A 10% improvement in haul road rolling resistance can cut truck fuel burn by 5-8% across an entire fleet. On a 20-truck operation, one well-utilised grader routinely pays for itself in under two years on fuel and tyre savings alone.

Front dozer blade

Push windrows, clear spillage and open access without swinging the mouldboard.

Rear ripper / scarifier

Break compacted haul roads and reclaim material for re-grading in one pass.

3D grade control

Machine-control-ready from the factory for Trimble, Topcon and Leica systems.

Cold-weather pack

Block heaters and cold-start aids for Highveld and Lesotho winter operation.

Grader operators are made, not found

A skilled grader operator is the scarcest resource on most South African sites. Our accredited grader operator programme runs on your machine, on your road, and is measured against real tolerance checks.

Fix the road, fix the fleet

Let us assess your haul road and quantify what a properly specified grader would save you in truck fuel, tyre life and cycle time.
